Our food alongside our excellent service is what sets us apart from other chalets.
Duncan worked for 10 years in top London restaurants including a 2 Michelin star restaurant for 3 years. His love and passion for cooking is reflected in his beautiful dishes he creates night after night in the chalet.
As huge foodies ourselves, we know that high quality, flavorsome food is an extremely important part of a fantastic catered chalet holiday.
In the summer we work alongside a local veg grower based in Morzine as well as growing a small selection of vegetables at the chalet.
We use wild berries, mushrooms, herbs and leaves collected by Duncan from the mountains and buy local grass fed beef and local fish from Lac Leman.
At Chalet Sandy we smoke our own bacon & salmon for breakfast as well as cheeses & meats and we have a wood burning oven to bake breads, pizzas for the kids and plenty more!
All the bread served at Chalet Sandy is baked daily at the chalet is 100% Sourdough. It is made in the traditional way using no yeast and because of the slow fermentation process it can be suitable to people with a gluten intolerance.
Our food is created to please YOU! Our food is ever evolving creating new & exciting dishes to complement a few classics that are tweaked each year.
After a long day on the mountain we appreciate the need for some hearty comforting food and that’s what we create but with some visual excitement thrown in for good measure!
